The Fundació Suñol organizes a commented visit for individual audience through the exhibition FERNANDO VIJANDE. Portrait: 1971-1987. The show recalls the figure of gallery owner Fernando Vijande and his career during the 70s and 80s, a vibrant and transgressive moment for Spanish art. Through the spaces of Galería Vandrés (1971-1980) and Galería Fernando Vijande (1981-1987), he promoted nationally and internationally the work of artists who were just beginning their professional careers, such as Luis Gordillo, Guillermo Pérez Villalta, Carmen Calvo, Muntadas the Zush. He also exhibited in their galleries international artists like Robert Smith, Andy Warhol or Robert Mapplethorpe. This tribute has the participation of many of them and pretends to be an account of its contribution and legacy.
