Fernando Vijande. Portrait: 1971-1987 as seen by José Luis Alexanco and Daniel Giralt-Miracle. José Luis Alexanco —artist and coorganizer of the exhibition— and Daniel Giralt-Miracle —art critic and historian— will lead a tour visit of Fernando Vijande. Portrait: 1971-1987 on Monday, February 5.
With them, we will review Fernando Vijande’s career and legacy, shown in the exhibition through the works of the artists he represented through his galleries: Galería Vandrés (1971-1980) and Galería Vijande (1981-1987). Through their memory and documentation, Alexanco and Giralt-Miracle will be able to talk about 70s and 80s spanish art and Vijande’s role, bringing back that vibrant and transgressive time.
