The Fundació Suñol consists of two areas, different from each other in time and space. One, located in Passeig de Gràcia 98, shows the works belonging to the Josep Suñol Collection on the first and second floors. The collection will be shown in different sequences so as to be able to appreciate fully the most representative pieces.
Although the Passeig de Gràcia rooms hold a permanent show of the collection, the works of art are changed from time to time so as to show the whole collection and so as to present different narrative spaces.
The other area – which can also be reached from the first floor of the Passeig de Gràcia space – has its own, independent entrance at number 240 in Carrer Rosselló. It is located in the interior patio of the whole block, adjacent to the Foundation’s building. This space is known as Nivell Zero.
Nivell Zero developed as a consequence of the collector’s interest since the 90s to have an alternative space to show the work of young artists who have and will make their mark on the current creative scene. It occupies the former coal cellar and basement of the building.
This space is used for temporary events and is fully equipped to handle multidisciplinary activities in the fields of sound and visual arts. It intends to be a kind of container where creativity, diffusion, production, theory and dialogue are acts of reflection and commitment standing up to the contemporary world. Nivell Zero will give priority to the new, emerging generation who live and work in the country.
