LIBERXINA, Pop and New Artistic Behaviour, 1966-1971

2018

Between November 2018 and April 2019, the Fundació Suñol collaborated with the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya in Barcelona on the exhibition LIBERXINA, Pop and New Artistic Behaviour, 1966 – 1971, with the loan of various works by the artist Zush (Evru). On this occasion, the MNAC delves into the artistic proposals that were produced in Catalonia during the second half of the 1960s and the ideals of revolution that exploded in different countries at that time and that sought to completely transform society. The exhibition brings together the production of the period between the decline of Informalism and the emergence of Conceptual Art, during which Pop Art and New Figuration emerged, and shows the connection between national art and international modernity.
