ACVIC: Arran de Terra

ACVIC: Arran de Terra

2026

On 31 January at 12.00 pm the exhibition Arran de Terra will open at the ACVIC, Centre d’Art Contemporani. You will be able to see invited works by Ignasi Aballí, Helena Almeida, Rosa Amorós, Esteve Banal, Ester Baulida, Joan Brossa, Jordi Canudas, Elena Carbonell, Esther Ferrer, Ramon Guillen-Balmes, Guerrilla Girls, Eva Lootz, Cori Mercadé, Fina Miralles, Perejaume, Carme Sanglas and Susana Solano, alongside the artist’s own works.

In this exhibition we will see a reflection on the colour white. A white that has little to do with the traditional attributes attributed to this colour—purity, cleanliness, innocence, goodness—but which, in this case, is more a white distilled from a series of themes central to her work: nature, landscape, popular culture, the passage of time, the self (woman).

The exhibition is an evidence, but one that often remains unseen. No artistic trajectory is built in absolute isolation; rather, it is constructed from real or imagined encounters, lived affections, and shared affinities, both personal and professional. For this reason, the solo exhibition project is accompanied by constellations of invited works that will help to visualise the personal and professional universe that has been taking shape throughout her career.

The Suñol Foundation is collaborating on this exhibition by lending the following works from the Suñol Soler Collection:

Susana Solano. Ballarí, 1982

Susana Solano. Ballarina, 1982
