For Your Eyes Only

For Your Eyes Only

06.05.2008 - 10.05.2008

These seven works reflect the philosophy which defines its new programme, launched when Hilde Teerlinck became director of this institution in September 2006: it aims to discover young artists, who make sensitive and strong statements concerning the society we live in. Authors who aren’t afraid to tackle issues with a clear socio-cultural or political impact.

The chosen pieces are reflections on the « human condition », on the place we occupy and the role we play in today’s society. Does the past still affect our life? Do themes like sex, violence, immigration, anorexia or control still remain taboo?
