Exterior | Interior shows us in an exhibition format the site-specific productions of the original project It started with water, and the public program of the exhibition aims to investigate various themes of the exhibition such as historical memory in terms of gender and its dissemination or cartographies , understanding art as a connection tool with the environment and the stories that surround us.
On the occasion of the exhibition Exterior | Interior, we invite the artist of the collection Teresa Gancedo to be interviewed by the curator and artist Alexia Medici.
Discurso sobre la realidad (1978), was part of the 1980 exhibition “New Images from Spain” held at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. The work presents us with a sequence where we find various representations and markedly symbolic objects, in dialogue with each other. Gancedo’s intention, he clarifies, is “to use art as a container for feelings of feelings and put the viewer in search of a code to interpret them.”
