Fundació Suñol is collaborating for the first time with the espais c project designating the artist Neus Frigola. During the 2021-2022 academic year, she will be in charge of occupying one of the spaces of the Institut Escola Arts of the Sants Montjuïc District with the aim of generating creative complicity with the centre’s students.
espais c is a program promoted by Consorci d’Educació de Barcelona, Institut de Cultura de Barcelona and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. The coordination and mediation of the program is in charge of Fabra i Coats-Centre d’Art i d’Experimentem amb l’Art, with the participation of Hangar, the Fundació Antoni Tàpies and the Fundació Suñol.
The program, which is aimed at public primary schools in Barcelona, is based on linking artists or groups within and with the school. Artists develop a one-year residency at the school, which also provides creators with a space where their residency is located.
This space is open and accessible to children so that they can develop their projects by sharing the studio / workshop with the artist.
The project is mainly based on generating a contact area between artists, students, teaching staff and mediation team, to grow the educational community while enabling travel and transformation in multiple directions.
