espais c is a program promoted by the Consorci d’Educació de Barcelona, ​​the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. The coordination and mediation of the entire program is the responsibility of the Fabra i Coats-Centre d’Art and d’Experimentem amb l’Art, with the participation of Hangar, the Fundació Antoni Tàpies and the Fundació Suñol.

The program, which is aimed at public primary schools in Barcelona, ​​is based on the link between artists and col·lectius with these. The artists develop a residence of any kind at the school, which also makes available to the creators a space where their new residence is located.

This space is open and accessible to children so that they can develop their various projects shared between the studio/workshop and the artist.

The project is fundamentally based on generating a contact zone between artists, students, teaching teams and media teams, in order to create the educational community while allowing displacements and transformations in multiple directions.

Ida Barbati (Isernia, Italy, 1990) lived in Barcelona. His training in Visual Arts at the Laba in Florència (2018) and he has completed his six studies with a Master of Arts and Education at the University of Barcelona (2020) and a Master of Philosophy for Contemporary Reptes at the Open University of Catalonia of Barcelona (2022). She is currently a doctoral student at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Barcelona. In his artistic practice he explores different mitjans, in particular the installation, the performative action and the intervention both in images and in public countries.

Guerthy Gutiérrez (Bogotà, Colombia, 1990) lived in Barcelona. In 2008 he entered the Visual Arts program at the Javeriana University of Bogotà. In the context of political violence in our territory and the personal experience affected by the conflict, our interest in artistic practice is deployed in reconceptualizing the perception of victimhood, investigating the depths of this condition and displaying the tensions and the various dimensions of victimization: the for, the memory, the reparation.

Boris Mercado (Lima, Peru, 1988) lived in Barcelona. His artistic practice has focused on photography. As a migrant, a large part of his work is focused on resistance and grief due to injustice and diversity and cultural wealth in the world. He has worked on different projects in Latin America, South Africa and New Zealand.
